Megyn Kelly trashed the Met Gala in a raging rant, a day after the annual fashion event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
On Tuesday’s episode of the “Megyn Kelly Show,” the political commentator accused the theme of the evening — “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” — of being “leftist academic gobbledygook nonsensical talk.”

“This year’s theme was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” an homage to Black dandyism. What’s that you ask? No one has any idea. Prepare yourself, however, for a deep dive into leftist academic gobbledygook nonsensical talk, which is probably how it got chosen as the Met Gala theme.”
Kelly alleged that the Met Gala was “pandering to Black people” with its theme, which was meant to explore the history and cultural significance of Black dandyism, a tradition where Black men donned stylish, tailored clothing to overcome harmful societal misconceptions and to fight oppression and marginalization.
The journalist proclaimed that the Met Gala is “officially over” and has been reduced to a “sad sack D-list past its prime” event while comparing it to the “nerd prom White House Correspondents’ Dinner.”

“The Met Gala is officially over. Dead. Done. Once the apex of high fashion culture and A-list celebrity, the gala now looks more like a sad sack D-list past its prime wannabe version of its old self,” Kelly said.
She added: “It’s closer to today’s nerd prom White House Correspondents’ Dinner than the center of the celeb and beauty universe as it used to be.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Kelly took aim at “The White Lotus” star and singer Lisa who got backlash after social media users accused her of donning images of civil rights activist Rosa Parks on her panties at the Met Gala.

A rep for Henry Taylor, the designer behind Lisa’s ensemble, later confirmed to Vulture that the figure embroidered on the panties was not Parks but one of the artist’s neighbors.
“How did Lisa interpret super fine dandyism? Apparently it meant putting Rosa Parks on her vagina,” Kelly said. “Yes, yes, this was the height of culture and high couture. Civil rights icon Rosa Parks reduced to a vagina cover. Look at this, is that part of the diaspora?”
